Whatever it is, I would like it to be dry soon.

Rain Rain Go Away
What's up with all this rain? I bet if you're up on the east coast you've been experiencing some heave showers all through the past week. Hurricane season, huh.

Straight Out Summer
So I feel like I've been mad unfaithful here to this portal recently, so things should be on the change up. Summer has been good, a lot of shows, friends, work, overall good times all around. I've been mainly chilling here out of Montreal which is always a fresh place in summer. There are tons of cool people always around, a slew of great summer shows and festivals, and just overall good vibes.
Not much else to say, except check out the newly inaugurated site for my good friends over at We Do It Right (wedoitrightmag.com).

It's Been A While
It's been a couple of months since I've last been up to anything up here, but I digress. It's the summer. I'm going to enjoy myself. Some important shit that has gone down recently:
- Passing school
- Graduating/Grad
- Summer
Namely, I have been in Cape Cod, but whatever. I don't have much else to write, but check out my links if you're bored.

Ed Rec Volume III
Justice prevailed this Sunday. The show itself was mediocre in all, but that's to be expected by now. What happened before and after the show is really what is to be mentioned. I was supposed to meet Pedro (Busy P) before the show so he could pass me after show tickets, but his flight was late, so So Me (the ingenious art director, you loved him for Kanye's Good Life video) let me in so I could just hang around, which is amazing. Justice were starting their soundcheck, and there was really noone around except the sound team and the artists. Chatted a bit with Justice, until Pedro arrived, who gave me passes. After the show hit up the after party at Coda, which was the most fun I've had in a while. Danced to the hits, climbed the ceiling, hung with So Me who is the nicest guy ever, and pretty much got down with the Ed Rec crew.
And You Say Chi-City
My visit to the windy city of Chicago was a good one, as always. The sun was shining, there was no snow, it was moderately warm, really everything Montreal is not right now. A refreshing change of pace. I just sort of hung around, shopped, picked up some cool things, saw people, as well as seeing the Hopper show at the Art Institute, which was great. Can't wait to return this summer (I go every summer).

You Wanna Live Like Common People?
The weekend of February 22nd. Eventful, very eventful. A show every night, play in between, enjoyment for all. Friday was a great time, Telefauna, etc., at The Cove. Danced till my foot bled (really), cut some hair (really), just a very enjoyable night in all. Hopefully all the good kids keep coming out for the next Passovah events.

Saturday was Numero, live outside in the Old Port. Will and I braved the cold and made it out for a slighty chilly, but nonetheless exciting time. I'm definitely am going to try and catch them next time I can.
The piece de resistance to cap off the weekend was a surprise free ticket to The Spice Girls at the Bell Center. The show was everything one would expect, a big production. I relived my eight year old dreams.

Islands Are Forever
After being unable to see Islands at this year's Pop, I was definitely ready to see Islands once again, after a year and a half since last seeing them. It was a good night. Heard some new songs, some hilarious 90's-tinged rap curteousy (that's a word I could never spell, I apologize) of the drummer Aaron, and a violin sonata played by the Chows. Ended it off with some acrobatics on the metro ride home. Can't wait for the new album.
